In this guide, I discuss: • What self advocacy means and how to advocate for yourself • How self advocacy relates to our training and development as dancers • Types of discrimination students and instructors can face in the aerial classroom • My experience with discrimination, how it’s impacted my development as an instructor and how I approach my teaching craft.
